A Brooding Mom with a Brood of Two
I am a stay at home with 2 toddlers who are 15 months apart in age. While blogging is very new to me, I found that this could be a healthy and productive way (I get to practice my storytelling skills) to get things off my chest without seeking a willing yet time-constrained pair of ears from my friends.

Getting Ready for the Move
So we are slowly getting ready to move to Singapore. I've craiglisted the cats this morning thinking I'd get at least one response today but none so far. I've been massaging 2 families who I think would be good parents to our 2 dogs. One has committed to foster caring for Fiona until our return. George and Eric just tied the knot and their lives seem to be settling in very nicely. They already have 2 Jack Russell Terriers and had to contemplate having a 3rd but Eric really loves Fiona and George has known her since she was just a puppy. They would be the perfect parents for Fiona.
Rex, on the other hand, is going to a family with small children. Alice has been contemplating getting a dog and what better dog than one that is already potty trained, obedient, great with children and an all around good dog. He can go off leash and never strays more than a couple of yards and turns around and comes back immediately when called. I'm going to miss him the most.
Mike's car is next. We've decided to list it on Yahoo Autos. We're hoping to get at least $26,000 for it. He is so not wanting to part with it. He's practically attached to it like a member of the family. My car will remain leased until we return in December for the holidays. We will then put it on consignment at the Saab dealership.
Our mondo garage sale will be held in August after we return from our trip to San Francisco and New York. So many mothers are willing to help as well as haul things away from us. Some have even put dibs on certain items like our indoor trampoline. It is an industrial quality which allows adults to jump on it for exercise but small enough for children to use it while watching TV. I'm hoping to set up a table for the kids to man selling drinks, icees, and cookies. It should be fun.
Our home was just freshly painted on the exterior. All we have to do now is box up all our shit so that my parents can move in. The one thing I'd like to have set up before they move in is the dish satellite that will show Korean programming on our LCD HD TV. My dad especially is looking forward to this part. I think it may have been the deal breaker in having him move into our home. My mom is happy.
Good-bye Oregon. I will miss your beautiful weather and clean air and water. You have helped me raise my babies in a wonderfully peaceful environment.
